My kiddos are back to school this week. Yes, it’s still July, we are on a balanced calendar which means shorter summers with longer breaks through out the school year. Every year before they head back to school I try to get really organized to make the year go smoothly. This year one thing I did for better mornings was to set up a Breakfast Station. We are not morning people around here and I don’t like the idea of my kids starting the day without breakfast.

Breakfast Station

Having a Breakfast Station with a variety of items all ready to go saves time. Hopefully no one will miss the school bus or the first bell at school. If you have teens that like to sleep in or who would rather primp than spend time making breakfast you need a Breakfast Station.

Find a place to set up your breakfast station. It could be a section of counter space in the kitchen or in the dining room. I’m using our buffet, well what we are now using for a buffet. Our buffet is a dresser that was in my oldest daughter’s room that isn’t needed anymore.  Gather breakfast items that appeal to your family members and items needed to consume that breakfast. We like cereal here so we have Life Cinnamon and Cap’n Crunch with bowls and spoons. Or the bowls and spoons could be used for Quaker Instant Oatmeal Apples & Cinnamon. And for those super late, running out the door mornings we have Quaker Dips Peanut Butter. You’ll also need containers to hold some of the items.

I had baskets in my stash so I added all the Quaker Instant Oatmeal packets to one basket and Quaker Dips bars to another basket. Bowls and spoons are neat and handy along with napkins. The nice thing about setting up a Breakfast Station like this is that you can put it all away if you need and set it back up again in no time.

Having items handy like the Quaker Dips allowed them to grab one to two to toss in their school bags too for a quick snack after school and before practices.

When your shopping at Walmart to get your back to school supplies don’t forget to stop in the breakfast and cereal aisle. That’s where I found everything we needed.

Our Walmart also had a nice selection of Quaker Chewy Dipps in the seasonal aisle.

Another great thing about having a Breakfast station is you can make it fit your family. For instance if you or your spouse are coffee drinkers add the coffee maker to your station. I know my family likes to change things up. I could easily change options by adding a toaster to our station.

Where are you going to set up a Breakfast Station? Tell me in the comments below which Quaker products you would include in your Breakfast Station? The Quaker Pinterest Account is full of recipes and ideas to keep your breakfast station stocked and interesting through out the school year.

Thanks for stopping by At Home with Sweet T!!!
