Bottle Cap Player Necklace – Friday Night Lights

Tonight is the last regular season game for our team. It is also Senior night. My friend and other football mom will be walking arm and arm with her senior son tonight which is awesome and sad at the same time. I’m heading to the game early, to be there to show my momma friend support. Oh and I’ll be taking notes because next year I will be the teary eyed mom walking arm and arm with my Senior. Oh boy!!! Before my mom friend walks with her player I have something special I’ve made for her that I will give her.I only made one necklace for this special Mom friend. Next year I’d like to get a group of Senior Moms together to make things like this a few times throughout the season.

Here’s how I made it.

I cut 1 inch circles out of cardstock using my Cricut. I could have used a paper punch but the Cricut was already set up. I used the Plantin Font cartridge.

I just used a little dab of glue to adhere the blue circle to the bottle cap.

Using the same cartridge I cut out #53 in orange card stock.

I used a little mod podge and a toothpick to adhere the numbers to the blue circle.

necklace glue to number

necklace apply numbers

Then just top that all off with a clear sticker.

Then I added the bottle cap and a couple bead charms to ribbons in our school colors. I couldn’t find a football charm but that would be cute too or other charms for different sports or interest.

I hope she likes it. And I can’t wait to make these next year with out football moms.

Thanks for stopping by At Home with Sweet T!!!
